Story: 20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hell bent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their home town and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub, The World's End. The World's End (2013) Review by melsishunney
I was lucky enough to score some tickets to the NZ premier of this. Wewere pumped full of food and booze before the movie and i realized notten minutes in that i needed the bathroom. Only i found the movie farto funny to want to leave at any point.

There were some real classic moments in this movie, honestly, the wholetheatre was in fits of laughter almost the whole way through the film.There was even some cheering (more than once)

Edgar really has his business sorted with the directing thing, andPegg, Frost and Freeman really help to bring this movie together!

I recommend this film, especially if you just want a good laugh!Personally, Frost was my fave in this one, he had the greatestmoments!! In regards to the acting, It was all wonderful, i believedevery second. This film was on par!

I feel really privileged to have been lucky enough to see it before awhole lot of people, and I hope that everyone else likes it as much aseveryone in our theatre did :)

Imagine if you took an episode of Doctor Who. You took the Doctor out,you pumped up the budget, added more action and filled it to the brimwith humor. That is exactly what this film is like.

I'm not even exaggerating. Every part of the plot of this film, fromthe nature of the threat, to the intelligence behind the threat, to theway the threat is defeated, reminded me of something that would happenin a very, very boozy episode of Doctor Who.

I'm not ending the comparison there. The vehicle of Simon Pegg'scharacter, Gary King, is essentially a time machine, in a very abstractway of looking at things - it comes from the past and can take you backthere. Gary King is also a charming, whimsical sociopath, much like theDoctor. But beneath it all he is empty, and his companions bring withthem the meaning that his life is lacking.

What I'm trying to say is, if you love Doctor Who, you'll love this.And if the Doctor regenerates into anything, let it be something likeGary King.
