Pieces of Easter (2013) Synopsis :
On her way home for Easter, Alza Bennet is left stranded in the middle of nowhere when her car breaks down. Desperate to get home in time for the holiday, she offers loner-farmer Lincoln James one-thousand dollars to drive her home to New Bristoll, North Carolina. They begin their three day journey across the back roads of rural United States in a restored 1952 Chevrolet truck. As they come across different hurdles on their journey the hardest is learning to reconcile their very different worlds.Alza is afraid of not receiving her family's acceptance having been too caught up in her own world to stay connected with them. Lincoln a recluse, a "hermit", struggles with facing the outside world. They both have problems, and through this journey discover the answers........

Story: An arrogant young executive must rely on the help of a grizzled, reclusive farmer to get her home in time for a holiday gathering with her estranged family. Along the way they encounter a series of mishaps including rat-infested motels, convenience store holdups, rural rabbit stalkers, and a starstruck couple from the local trailer park. PIECES of EASTER is a heartwarming, family-friendly film recentlyproduced by Kelly's Filmworks. This movie is so appropriate to havebeen released around the Easter season. Jefferson Moore (The PerfectGift, Another Perfect Stranger) shifts from his portrayal of Jesus tobecome Lincoln, a rugged, "hermit" as characterized by Alza Reese(newcomer Christina Karis).
When Alza's car breaks down in a VERY small backwoods town, shereluctantly hires Lincoln to drive her to her family's Easter reunion -some three days away. The interactions and situations which follow arehilarious, thought-provoking and uplifting. Christina Karis isfantastic in her debut film and Jefferson Moore, always a solid leadactor, capitalizes on his resemblance this time to---sorry, you'll justhave to watch the film. I enjoyed PIECES of EASTER and I know you willtoo!

Wow O Wow! What a great movie! I laughed so hard, I cried--and that wasonly the beginning first five minutes.Who The writing of this movie isincredible, the acting fabulous, and the comedy outstanding. I lovedevery creative moment. This takes the place of my first place movie,replacing "While you were sleeping" with Sandra Bullock. One of thosemovies that makes you think the rest of the afternoon and puts a smileon your face. I will definitely be purchasing for my DVD library in thefuture and several for friends birthdays. Highly recommended for a good"date" night movie or single females getting together for a "laugh"night.

I was honored to have some songs used for this film. I had no idea howmy music would be used, and/or how it would fit into the scheme of themovie...well, I was very impressed! The characters are earthy andlayered, the scenery and cinematography are top-notch, and of thewonderfully restored Chevrolet pickup was a treat to see. KristinaKaris is immediately endearing, and I think she has a great futureahead of her. It was refreshing to see a movie that breaks manystereotypes, while at the same time lets us enjoy so many others! Thisis the kind of movie that "stays with you" and your appreciation forthe film will actually grow for days after you first see it...and youWILL want to watch it more than once! Thanks, Kelly Filmworks!
